Care Closer to Home
Every year, thousands of people across Ballarat and the Grampians region face serious illness. For many, accessing the latest treatments through clinical trials means travelling to Melbourne, spending time away from family and support networks, whilst also facing additional financial and emotional pressures during an already challenging time.
As your local health service, we believe that world-class care belongs close to home.
That's why we're asking you to support your loved ones, neighbours and our community by helping build a dedicated Clinical Research Centre. Your donation will expand access to clinical trials, innovative treatments and life-changing research for people across our region.
Grampians Health is already a leader in clinical trials and research outside of Melbourne, with more than 250 ongoing research studies underway across our services — including over 100 clinical trials.
However, the rapidly growing demand for these life-altering therapies means we have outgrown our current space. With your support, the purpose-built Clinical Research Centre will provide the space needed to expand our research program and ensure more people can benefit from the latest treatments.
Can you help us to provide life-saving clinical research, close to home?
Government funding supports essential healthcare services, but community donations help us deliver more, sooner.
Your donation will help create a dedicated Clinical Research Centre that brings life-saving research and treatment opportunities closer to home for patients across Ballarat and the Grampians region.
Together, we can ensure that people in western Victoria have access to the very best care, not because of where they live but because they deserve it.
Donations $2 and over to Grampians Health Ballarat are tax deductible.
Why a Clinical Research Centre?
Grampians Health is already recognised as a leader in clinical trials and research outside Melbourne and Geelong, with more than 250 research studies and 100 clinical trials currently underway.
However, we have reached the limits of our existing facilities.
A purpose-built Clinical Research Centre will allow us to expand access to:
- Clinical trials
- Emerging therapies
- Cancer research
- Healthcare innovation
- Specialist research programs
Most importantly, it will mean more people can access cutting-edge treatment without leaving their community.

Volunteer Philanthropic Campaign Committee
Since 2024, our volunteer philanthropic campaign committee have been working to raise funds for two significant projects. Thanks to generous donations, we will construct a Family Accommodation Village - providing pet-friendly, affordable accommodation to help keep families together when they need each other most.
And with your help, we will build a Clinical Research Centre - a facility that will not only bring cutting-edge treatments to the people of regional Victoria but will be a centre of excellence our community will be proud of.
