The Stawell Hospital Foundation
The Stawell Hospital Foundation supports Grampians Health Stawell by raising and managing funds to ensure the hospital can continue providing high-quality care for the local community.
Established in October 1989, the Foundation was created by a group of dedicated Stawell residents who recognised the importance of maintaining strong local health services for future generations.
Through the generosity of the community, the Foundation continues to support the hospital by helping fund vital medical equipment and improvements that enhance patient care.
We welcome donations of any size – every contribution helps strengthen healthcare services for the Stawell community. Donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible.
Our purpose
The Stawell Hospital Foundation operates under a Trust Deed and maintains a minimum capital fund of $1.25 million.
This core capital (corpus) is preserved to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Foundation. Only the interest generated from the fund is used to support the purchase of vital equipment for Grampians Health Stawell.
By protecting the capital and investing responsibly, the Foundation can generate a reliable annual income that supports ongoing improvements to local healthcare. This approach ensures funds are available each year to help provide the best possible care for the Stawell community now and into the future.
The success of the Foundation reflects the strong tradition of community support for the hospital. Contributions from local businesses, organisations and individuals have helped the fund grow and continue supporting healthcare in the region.
